Meet any updated English language requirements if applicable

Applications must be submitted before your current permission expires, and dependants must also renew their visas at the same time. The extension fee is £885 when applying from within the UK.

After completing five years of continuous residence in the UK on a qualifying visa, you may apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain. To qualify, you must:

Have spent no more than 180 days outside the UK in any 12-month period during the 5-year qualifying period
